ARTIST STATEMENT
Born in 1989, Rami Harrabi is a composer, performer, sound designer, and instrument maker whose practice bridges ancestral heritage and sonic experimentation. Deeply inspired by Arab and North African art, instruments, and rituals, Harrabi explores the spiritual and symbolic dimensions of regional traditions through a contemporary lens. His work fuses the raw energy of alternative genres—Punk, Post-Punk, Post-Rock, Industrial, and Noise—with the layered textures of Ambient, IDM, and Future-Garage, creating immersive soundscapes that challenge boundaries and invite reflection. Rooted in both reverence and rupture, Harrabi’s practice contributes to the evolution of a hybrid, dissident sound culture anchored in North Africa.
