ROLE
Fairouz Nouri is the community coordinator of the public art projects INTERFERENCE Tunis, and SEE DJERBA Houmt Souk. She also coordinates MOMENTUM CURATORIAL, the curatorial learning environment for art-in-context projects.
BACKGROUND
Fairouz Nouri is a cultural activist, curator, art mediator, and project coordinator based in Tunisa, active in Djerba, Sfax, and Tunis. She has been involved in various art projects locally and internationally. Her work involves exhibition-making, open-call juries, mentorship of emerging curators, and training art mediators. She is noted for her commitment to making contemporary art accessible, engaging diverse audiences, and experimenting with curatorial formats in public spaces. She collaborates frequently with other curators, such as Khadouja Tamzini, and contributes to fostering a more equitable art scene in Tunisia.
