ARTWORK
Frange sacrée / (Sacred Fringe)
Amira Lamti’s Frange sacrée draws from the charia, a traditional fibre basket used by Tunisian women to carry their children. Over time, the object was adapted to carry other loads, reflecting the shifting roles and resilience of its user. Lamti highlights this transformation to honor women’s invisible labor and their capacity to repurpose daily tools as acts of care and resistance.
